Dive Into Reading!

Hi!  It's Kay from Sommer Pride.  And yes, I am so ready for summer!!

We have just a few more days of school here in Los Angeles!  It's a crazy, busy time, so I really enjoy being able to wrap up the year with some FUN!

Last week our librarian organized Dive Into Reading Day!  The entire school was able to choose a brand new free book provided by RIF.  Then during morning and lunch recesses the students took their books out to the grass area on our playground to read!

The grass area was decked out with beach umbrellas and shade canopies.  Students brought their hats, sunglasses, and beach towels to school.

And we all READ!!! 

We had a fabulous day!  It was a great way to de-stress after finally completing all our assessments!
